ACCESS CONTROL AND ATTENDANCE SYSTEMS
Access control systems perform several functions for managing access:
- do not allow unauthorized access, for persons who doesn't exist in database
- limiting access in certain areas, only persons with access rights may enter in these areas
- evidence of persons in the access areas and reports generating, based on the access events stored
- customizable attendance raport, based on events stored access
Identify the user requesting access is done by reading the access code stored on the cards (proximity cards, proximity tags, magnetic-stripe cards, chip cards) or by entering a code to the access keypads.
Physically the acess control is done by specialized equipment (access control units, access readers, access keypads, buttons for access request, electric lock strikes, tourniquets, etc.) which, depending on the application, may be stand-alone or networked, connected to master unit of access control or to PC.
System configuration and operation is done with PC through specialized software
